English Translation of Speech

The issue of Youth Marriage is of profound importance. It is among those matters that must not be neglected in any respect. Efforts should be made to simplify the path to marriage and to create possibilities for young people to marry.
Many of these methods require no financial cost but merely a little attention and wise decision-making.

As much as possible, we should strive to address the sexual challenges faced by the youth in our society, for it benefits both the present world and the hereafter of our community. I fear that the growing indifference to marriage – which unfortunately still exists more or less today— this indifference will bring grave consequences for the country’s future.

There are those in our society who mock and criticize the core values of Islam, ridiculing the founding slogans of the Islamic Revolution. They downplay the importance of marriage and deem it trivial or meaningless. Such individuals are present among us today, and we cannot overlook them or remain neutral on this matter.

The institution of marriage and the formation of families have not made life harder or more burdensome. In fact, marriage may lead to an improvement in circumstances, prosperity, and expansion. Yet, there are certain misunderstandings and useless customs surrounding marriage that serve as obstacles, deterring young people from it. These customs should be practically disregarded.

The spirit and motivation for marriage should translate into tangible actions, leading to actual marriages. As the Almighty says:
“If they are poor, Allah (s.w.t.) will enrich them from His grace.” (Al-Noor 24:32)
This is a divine promise, and we must trust in it as firmly as we do in His other promises.
